This Is My Story.

“Let's put you on the birth control pill to balance your hormones.” This is what I was told from doctors while I sought answers to my own menstrual irregularities. I tried the pill and felt bloated, depressed, and overall terrible. Ultimately, these pills weren’t balancing my hormones, they were suppressing them, plus they weren’t in line with my values. I wanted someone to do in depth hormone testing and get to the root cause of my issues, to teach me how to address my hormones, without the pill. I wanted answers. I knew there had to be another way, and I struggled for years. I found myself doctor shopping and eventually in a surgeons office for help. Finally, I found my answers in naturopathic medicine.

I now know that random day hormone testing is pretty useless and almost always “normal.” Women's hormones just aren't simple. They are a intricate network of interactions, an always changing system that can be easily disrupted, and sometimes quite stubborn to reset. It is my passion to continually understand more and more of the complexities and interactions of hormones, and then translating that into effective treatments for women. My mission is to empower women to take charge of their fertility journey.
